    2009. Woah.

    So. =]
Roller City was the bomb.com. Not even joking. I spent New Years at the rink, and stayed the whole night there, from 7 to 7. I went with my friend Morgan.
I noticed that when we got there so many kids would come up to Morgan and hug her, people I didn't know. So I confronted her and asked her how she knew all these people and she responded by saying..
"Trust me, by the end of the night...You'll know everybody."
I didn't quite get what she meant...
But by the end of the night, or the full 12 hours, I understood the rink. I understood the people. And I understood the community they built for themselves. Basically, it didn't matter who you were at school, at home, anywhere. Because everyone fit in there.
    Everyone was accepted.

    This is how 2009 became.
I was sitting at a table with Morgan and my new friends, the people you can just be meeting one minute and share your secrets with the next, and we were eating pizza. I checked the time and made a point to say something along the lines of "It's 5 minutes til 2009, nobody's even noticing." Because no one was paying attention.
So a little later we hear "20 SECONDS YOU GUYS" and the whooooole rink freaks out, like they forgot it was New Years Eve. Which we had.
So all at once we all jumped up and ran to the middle of the skating floor and stared at the giant screen that had the ball drop projected. The whole rink was counting down the clock.
We screamed 10, then 9, and kept counting.
After we screamed 1 and shouted and jumped and whatever, I hugged Morgan and acted like a total idiot. Balloons fell from the ceiling. My phone was vibrating like CRAZY with text messages from multiple people, wishing me a happy new year.

    Holy crap. 2009.

It felt so...surreal. This was happening.

Later we drank Monsters and danced under the disco ball. Me and Morgan talked for hours and hours. Some kids a year or two younger than us hung around and practically worshipped the ground Morgan and I walked on, and we let them. It was so much fun. These guys flirted with us and used the "yawn" technique and all that cheesy stuff. It was hilarious.
Morgan did our makeup and we walked around and danced around and...had fun =].
We watched part of Cloverfield, but didn't finish.
We watched everyone try to limbo, and we'd scream "FAIL" and "EPIC FAIL" when they fell. Because it was fun. Everyone was having so much fun. It was definitely the ideal atmosphere to bring in the new year.

I still don't have any New Years Resolutions.
And I'm not planning on it.
    I'm just...gonna have fun.
    2009 will be good.
I'll make sure of it =].
