Ouch! Painful Stories...Some funny, some not!

    My Hair!
This is hilarious... Well, kinda... The other day, I was blow-drying my hair after my shower. I had my curly brush thing, and was blowing out. The back of the blow dryer was facing my ears. All of a sudden, a quick flash of searing pain darted through my roots. A small glob of my hair had been yanked out. To top it off, it was twirling its way into the back of my blow dryer. I didn't even try to catch it... It was sucked in in about a second. My roots were killing me. It was like being pinched on your head really really hard. Oh yeah, I still can't get that stupid hair out of the fans. Plus, the most painful part is the sound my blow dryer makes... Oh well, it'll melt eventually...

    Birkleigh's Teeth + Me = Ouch!
A few days ago, Birkleigh and I were wrestling. We were pinning each other down and rolling around on the floor swinging our arms. It was fun! We were just playing, nobody was seriously hurt. Except now I have purple polka dots around my arm... Big bruises line about 6 inches of my right arm. My left is as white as can be. The other arm is...colorful. They don't hurt unless you hit them or something. I didn't even realize what he had done until I rolled up my sleeves. Oh yeah, did I mention the bruises multiply every time we play?

    Bailey's Accident
Mom picked Bailey up today just like normal. She pulls up to school and is caught by the PE teacher. The PE teacher tells her some stuff and Bailey walks out... Bailey has a swollen nose with some dried blood, a bright red swollen lip, and step stair scratches in between her nose and upper lip. Bailey is strong, so it wasn't bothering her, but she looks like she should be in a ton of pain. She should heal in a few days. Oh yeah, you probably want to know what happened to her: During PE, Bail and her friend were spinning around. Her friend spun Bailey around and around and let go... Their gym has concrete floors. Guess what happens next. Wham! Bailey plunged into the concrete and came up with a bloody nose. She was taken to the nurse and taken care of. She's better now. But still in pain. They had tried to call Mom but she was working. Bailey put on Vaseline and should be better soon, so we hope.

Free At Last!!! (Close Enough Anyways...)

    Review:
Aunt Cindy: Hilarious aunt with great taste and always has a different hair style.
Lexi: Spunky little 4-year-old that's too much like me.

    Intro:
I told you we wouldn't clean on Wednesday! So here is what spring break is all about: Going Nuts!

    Today's Story:
Around 10-ish Aunt Cindy arrived with my adorable cousin, Lexi. She was so excited to go somewhere with us! We went to the mall and I took Lexi to the fountain things and we threw coins in. Lexi loves Chicken Little, so she let me film her do the "Shake Your Tail Feather" dance. We sat by the fountains, or as she calls it, waters while Lexi kept on looking for fish in the water, but all she saw was coins. She is so cute! After that, Aunt Cindy, Mom, me, Lex, and Bail went to Create-A-Bear. Bailey and Lexi couldn't decide what to make. I stood there and watched them and followed Lexi around. Eventually, Lexi decided to make a Tiger. Bailey decided to make a dog. Lexi put a sound in it so that when you squeeze it, it will hum The Alphabet or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, whatever you want to call it. Bailey preferred no sound. They sewed them up and we left. We then went to Cafe Rue Orleans (YAY!). For our appetizer we gulfed down delicious fried artichoke hearts, chicken and rice gumbo, and bread with butter. My meal was a fried crawfish dinner which I split with Bailey, and a side of seasoned french fries. Lexi just had chicken strips with fries and Mom had fried oysters. I forgot what Aunt Cindy had... Lunch was awesome! After that we went to Wally World, where Aunt Cindy and I toured clothes in the womens section. I suggested a pair of jeans to Aunt Cindy, only to find that she was wearing the same pants! I know her too well... After that, we went to Harps but only Mom went inside. The rest of us stayed in the car taking crazy pictures and looking at ones that I had taken of Aunt Cindy without her knowing. We came home and I started this post while Bailey and Lexi played and Aunt Cindy and Mom talked and drank coffee. I had a great day... At the beginning of this post Aunt Cindy and Lexi were here, but I stopped typing and went downstairs to say goodbye and help load everything into the car.
    Awesome...

    The End
    My usual closing:
    Will post more soon!

    Spring Break

    AHHHHH!!!!!
I hate--wait, no--completely dislike spring break! It is so boring! All my friends are in Branson or something. Sadly, but goodly (lol) Jocelyn shares my pain. We are both stuck cleaning...Big time...

    Clean...Clean...Clean
I even had to clean yesterday! I completely cleared out my closet and cleaned it. I took out my clothes, my books, my shelves, everything. It only took 7 hours! Today we get a break... Today is our break and tomorrow is our torture. We have to clean out my computer room. But--we finally get to do the curio cabinet I've been wanting to work on! All it has is collectible dolls... I want to put stuff in like trophies, school projects, and things we made at Different Strokes when we were little. I still can't decide how to organize it, but I'm thinking. The computer room will be a nightmare. We're getting rid of all Bailey's old toys that we plan to sell at the garage sale. Mom plans to have the sale on April 7th and 8th or maybe even on Apil 21st and 22nd. I have gotten rid of a ton of junk. Very few clothes didn't fit and only around 5 were just plain ugly. I'm not sure what we're doing Tuesday.

    Big Break?
There is a reason why we started cleaning on Saturday... Mom wanted to make sure that we finish soon. She said we might go shopping and even to the library! We also may go somewhere with Leta and her sisters! I'm very excited! I need to get The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams from the library. Shopping, well, I have no money but if we go with Leta then we can just look around and actually have fun. Shopping is boring otherwise. Aunt Cindy also said something about getting together with us! When I find out everything I'll put it on my weekly schedule (sidebar).

    Have a great break!

    Mom's Experience

It's kind of odd that I didn't know this until yesterday...
I always knew my Dad was in the Navy after high school...
I didn't know that my Mom could have been...

Yesterday morning, Mom and I were driving along. I mentioned the Benchmark and how it was a lot like SATs. Mom had taken SATs for lots of different things in high school because it was required. Apparently she knew more than she thought. After an SAT-ish test in the library, Mom started getting letters inviting her to the Air Force. That's so cool! Mom said no. Reasons why: a)She didn't want to. b)She has a sun disease. She gets really sick if she gets sun burned.
Anyways, she told them no but she kept getting letters. They really wanted her for the Air Force! And to top that, they also wanted her for the Army! They would talk to her at school and stuff, but she kept saying no. This is really funny:
My mom used to work at a cookie company in the mall. Haha! No, that's not the funny part. Just wait, it'll come... Anyways, she was a person that sat at the little counter thing and handed people their cookies. Really good cookies, I've been there... One day, these two men came to the cookie company one day and ordered a cookie. Turns out, they were these army thingy-ma-bobbers. When they saw Mom's name tag they started saying things like: "Hey! You're Jane Doe! We've been trying to get you to join the army" and stuff like that. She had to explain to them, at work, why she couldn't.
Eventually, the army and air force people left her alone. Pretty funny, huh?

    Well, have a nice day!
    Will post more soon.

Brownies, B-Ball, and Benchmark! Oh My!

    Brownies
On Sunday, Mom and Bail were sick. Because of this, we did not go to church. Around 10 in the morning, I decided I wanted brownies. I ran downstairs and asked Mom if I could and where the box was. She didn't know... This is where I get lucky. Right when I turn around, there sits a huge box of Hershey/Betty Crocker brownie mix. YUM! I took it upstairs and mixed all the ingredients. I followed the instructions for 40 brownies (the most) of course! 4 eggs, vegetable oil (which I couldn't reach, so Mom had to get for me) yada yada yada... Anyways, I put them in the oven and went downstairs. I watched "Supernatural" on TiVo for 40 minutes and went up stairs. I stuck the knife in the brownies and stuff and put them in the oven and the whole 9 yards. Completely delayed my paranormal programming... But finally they were done and I licked the bowl and let them set. Then I had lunch... Ended up not getting a brownie until 2:00!

    B-Ball
Today, I went outside with Katy. We took pictures and filmed each other and stuff. It was really fun! Kye was attempting to make a basket in the driveway so we went over and started playing with him. Of course, we went easy on him. My losing has nothing to do with him being younger than me..... Well, Kye was on his own team against me and Katy and it was easier for him because the goal was only like 5 and a half ft.. Ours kept on going over because, well, we can actually reach it when walking by...

    Benchmark
Tomorrow is the benchmark. The suspense is killing me, can't you tell?
Anyways, I think the benchmark is very boring because it reminds me of the SATs. Just typing those letters made me shiver and it's not because I just got out of the shower. We are doing the literacy/reading/multiple choice/open response/etc thing tomorrow. No math...yet. All the useless stuff in Wednesday. We have a discombobulated schedule tomorrow and then a differently discombobulated schedule on Wednesday. It's the same benchmark just a different subject! It's nuts... And it will drive me crazy.
Keep your fingers crossed for me.

    I'll be back...

    Olivia's House

    Intro
I spent the night at Olivia's house last night!

    Arrival
Because Olivia lives so close to the school, all we had to do was walk down to the other school's parking lot to be picked up. Olivia's mom brought us to her house and I put all my stuff in it's place, ready for excitement. I became aquainted with some of her family members.
Dane--Younger brother who plays on the computer alot.
Drake--Younger brother, 5, (younger than Dane) who likes to play in the park.
    Fred--Younger brother, species: hamster

    To the Park
When Drake wanted to go to the park, Olivia and I hopped on our scooters and rode down there with him. I took pictures of Olivia and we pushed Drake on the swing. Olivia and I climbed the rock wall a bit while we talked. I took lots of pictures. Olivia and I sat on the swing and talked for a while, and then I heard a familiar voice. I turned around and off in the distance was Brandon (2nd place in the spelling bee). I was very surprised. He was playing ball with Ashley's cousin, Josh. I ran over there to say hi. I called his name and waved and got his attention. He came over and said hi and asked how I'd been and stuff. After he got back to his game with Josh, me and Olivia walked off and started pushing Drake on the swing. Eventually the whole place cleared until the clouds came and we were alone with only the kids in OM who were in the gym next to the playground. We rode back to Olivia's house and ate dinner.

    Flightplan and The Forgotten
After dinner, we decided we'd watch movies. I had brought The Forgotten and Olivia had rented Flightplan. We watched Flightplan first. It wasn't exactly like I had expected but I would recommend it. 10 minutes into The Forgotten Olivia fell asleep. It was only 9:40! I shook her and shook her until she jumped. I have seen The Forgotten 4 times now and it is awesome. Towards the end, when the guy was popping up everywhere and chasing Telly, it made a loud whooshy noise. Right when that happened, I couldn't even hear Telly choking because I was laughing so hard. Olivia had jumped and screamed and covered her eyes, because the whooshy noise had surprised her. It was funny!

    Waking Up
We had gone to bed around 12 or 1 after playing "Find Fred" with Olivia's hamster. When I woke up, I snuck into Olivia's room, took 3 pictures without her waking (the flash was on), crawled beside her bed, and jumped up screaming "OOo! Wa-Ahhhhhhhhh!" I have never seen anyone panic quite like that. It wasn't exactly a panic, though.

    A Blog For Olivia
Towards the end of our adventure, we sat down and played on the computer. I helped her set up a blog for typing and a picture blog, just like mine.

I had lots of fun at Olivia's house. She is a great person.
