    everyone's getting sick!

A couple weeks ago, my friend Katy had a stomach thing and she was sick for a while and couldn't go to school. About a week ago Mark was absent almost all week because he had a stomach thing. Kambri has been getting kind of sick to her stomach off and on since before Christmas. Sara hasn't been at school since Friday and she was feeling kind of sick then. Chris had to go home yesterday and wasn't at school today because his stomach has been bothering him. My stomach was hurting this morning but it was better by the time school started. The stomach bug has been going around pretty quick. I really hope I don't get sick! That's the last thing I need and want! I'm going to be pretty germ-freaky at least until this thing has calmed down.
Well, I'm going to go wash my hands and maybe eat some ice cream!
    Will post more soon!

    Ryleigh

    Ryleigh Posted by Hello

In many of my posts I will mention my pets. Toby, Ryleigh, and Spenser. Toby and Ryleigh are my dogs and Spenser is my cat. Toby is half border collie, half lab, and Ryleigh is a full blood rat terrier. Ryleigh lives with me, in my room, and Toby lives downstairs with Spenser. I remember when I first got Ryleigh.
I was sick so I had to stay home from school. My mom took me to Oklahoma and we went to someone's house. He showed us a small dog and I noticed he had a spot on his side in the shape of a heart. He was the last of his mama's babies. My mom and the man talked a while while the small dog ran and played. I can remember asking the dog, "Are you going to be our new Ryleigh?" Sure enough, a little bit later the puppy was in our car whining as we drove home. When we got home, we kept Toby outside. Toby was 2 years old at the time, so he was a good sized dog by then. I took Ryleigh into the living room and showed him the room. Then, Spenser came in. Ryleigh was scared so he ran behind me. Then, we let Toby in. Ryleigh stepped out to see and ran back behind me. After everyone was properly introduced, we gave Ryleigh a bath. After his bath I wrapped him up in a towel. He looked so adorable! For a few months Ryleigh slept in my room, but only in a puppy-cage-thingy. Then, he was able to sleep in his real bed. My second bed. Which he still does now. I love Ryleigh and Toby and Spenser very much and they love me. Last night, I slept in Ryleigh's bed with him to keep him company and he was still awake when my sister came in and Ryleigh growled at her. I'm not sure why but I think it was because he didn't want her to bug me because it was nighttime.
Ryleigh is a cute, sweet, funny dog. I love all of my animals!

    Spelling Bee

I came in 5th place in the spelling bee today.
Maybe I should back up a bit....

    December 15, 2004

It was the day of the spelling bee. 30 people total were participating, I believe. I didn't expect what was to come. We went and sat down in the chairs on the stage, I was the very last person. I didn't think highly of that spot, but it was to become of my advantage. We sat for a while, staring out into the audience as more came in. At last, it started. The principal spoke to the audience about us and the bee itself. Then, the spelling began. Because I was last I had to wait a long time for my turn. When at last my turn came, I walked up to the microphone, said my name, class, grade, and people I had to thank for helping me study, and spelled the word I was given. I sat down and survived a few rounds when I heard something. I was in the very back beside the door that led into the hallway. I heard strange noises coming from outside the door. I heard scratching and sniffing, and some very strange noises I can hardly describe. It was weird and I never figured out what it was. After many rounds, about 20, there were 4 people left. Me, Zach, Sara, and Mark. We are all in the same class and are all friends. We went like that for a while until someone got out. Zach, who had won the 2003 spelling bee, missed a word and had to sit down. It was down to three people, me, Sara, and Mark. We went for a quite a while and Mark eventually got out. 2 people were left, me and Sara. We are both very good friends and we had helped each other study. We went back and forth for what seemed like a very long time. The stage was in the cafeteria and eventually, the some of the other people had to eat. The bee was moved into the library and we carried on back and forth. After a while,I missed a word and Sara spelled hers correctly. Sara won and I was declared 2nd place winner. We were both to go the the district spelling bee.

    January 21, 2005

Well, the time had arrived. 26 participants total. Sara and I went to district spelling bee held at another school. Car parked, we walked in and looked at the stage which was very similar to ours. We took a restroom break and went and sat on stage. Not long afterwards the spelling bee began. Sara was sitting in the very back, last person as I was the time before, and I was sitting in the very front. I was the fifth person to spell. After quite a few rounds, the fire alarm went off. I think someone pulled the alarm lever but I'm not sure. The bee was paused for a few minutes and Sara and I got a chance to talk. If I were to have lost right then, I would have come in 9th place. Our friend Zach, who had gone to district the year before, had come in 8th place. Mine and Sara's goal was to beat 8th place. We talked about how we were close to beating Zach. Then, the bee was back on. 1 out. 8 people on stage. Sara got up to the mike. She was asked to spell uncouth. Sara spelled it U-N-C-O-O-T-H. She was out. I was now the only person representing my school. Sara came in 7th place. She beat Zach's record. A couple rounds later, 5 people left, I stepped up to the microphone. I was given a hard, long word. I spelled it wrong only by a couple letters. I was out. I had come in 5th place. But I had beaten Zach. So to me, I was a winner and so was Sara, because we met our goal. To beat Zach!!!

    Yesterday

I just got up and now I'm gonna tell you what happened yesterday.

I was woken up by my person. I got ready for church and ate a taco for breakfast. Then, we went to church and I left my friends Christmas present in the car. I told her I'd give it to her next week. After the service, which was very good, we went home and started working on one of my friend's birthday present, whose birthday is today. At 2 I went to Sara's (the girl who I was giving the present to) and I met her adorable dog, Doogie. I'm not sure what kind of dog he is but he was cute, tiny, long-haired, and extremely playful. After meeting Doogie, we went to a bowling place in Rogers. We thought it was non-smoking but it wasn't. YUCK!
First, we got our bowling shoes and walked around and did a little sliding. Then, Sara and I went through the place trying to pick out a perfect bowling ball. The first time I lifted one I thought it was as heavy as I am! But, I just wasn't used to it. During our bowling ball search I pick up a heavy ball and dropped it on my toe. It hurt alot! I really needed that toe too!!! But after a few minutes it didn't hurt anymore. That was cool! Eventually Sara and I found a good bowling ball and went to bowl. Sara's dad bowled first. Then it was Jordan's turn. She's not the best bowler in the world but she's not the worst. Then it was Gooby's turn. Her name is Jordan but I call her Gooby. She bowls pretty good. Then it was my turn. Oh boy... I had never bowled before so I didn't know what to do. I hadn't gotten very close to the line when I let go and rolled the ball down the...whatever it's called that balls roll down. I did pretty good. Then it was Sara's turn. She did good, too. It went in that pattern Sara's Dad, Jordan, Gooby, me, and Sara. Once Jordan's fingers got stuck in her ball and she ended up throwing it. Once I went to bowl and I dropped the ball on my way to the line. It almost got away! But I caught it! I picked up the ball and tried again. Sara's dad once got a strike. I forgot who else did. When we were all done bowling we got in the car and went back to Sara's house. Jesse, Sara's older sister, and her college roomate, Cassy, were there waiting for us with pizza. We ate pizza and talked about bowling, what our names were going to be before we were born, and Doogie! About an hour after pizza we all went home. Gooby lives on my street so when Sara's mom went to drop us off it was such a convenience that we live on the same street. Gooby's house was first. I'll do some dialogue here....
Gooby, Jordan, Sara, and I got to the door. Gooby knocked a few times and waited. Her mom peeked through the door and said "What's the password?" Gooby told her it was Joey. She said "They wanna see Joey." "Nope, the password is the weasel walks at midnight." Her mom said before she ran to get Joey. "What's a Joey?" I asked. Nobody answered me. Then, this beautiful dog came in and sat in front of us. We went into the yard and Joey followed us. We had so much fun with him! We didn't care we were cold and shivering! We hugged Joey and stuff and he kept us warm. It was dark out, and we could only see him by the light of the garage. His eyes shone beautifully in the light. He has the most adorable eyes. We played with him and he loved it. We were there for about 10 minutes just running and playing with Joey. When we left to go get in the car Joey followed and Gooby had to get him and bring him in. We got in the car and went down the road. Jordan and Sara walked to my door with me. Sara got to meet Ryleigh and Toby. Toby, who usually does not like strangers, actually liked Sara. Ryleigh, of course, liked Sara. And Sara seemed to like them. I went into the house and said bye and they went into the car and drove away.

Yesterday was awesome!!! Except dropping a bowling ball on my toe. But my toe is good now.

    Will post more soon!

    Stuff

I decided I don't want to post my poem. It was really stupid...
But maybe later I'll post a report or something on. We might be doing a report on King Tut later on. I don't know though.

I have been downstairs planning out the present I'm making for Sara. Her birthday is Monday.
Which is also Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so there is no school! Sara is happy that her birthday happens to be on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, because then she has no classes on her birthday. Talk about a cool birthday present! My birthday is always the first day of school. Woo-pee... Talk about a cool birthday present...

    Will post more soon!

    Today...

Today we got our report cards!
I have all As except for a B in Science and a B in Math.
Today I have been gathering pictures for the yearbook.
So far I have......a lot of pictures to go in. I'm going to take more pictures at school tomorrow.

    Guess what!
I don't know if your guess is right since I am typing on the Internet.
Anyways.....Oh darn I just forgot what I was going to say!
I hate it when that happens. Especially when I'm talking to someone.
    Oh yeah!
For a homework assignment, we have to write a poem about whatever we want. If I get a good grade I'll post it. It kind of sounds like a stupid assignment. In writing, shouldn't we be writing normal reports? Too me, writing a poem for a homework assignment is kind of, child-like. Something they would give to little kids. I remember writing a report on the sand-dollar. I thought it was going to be super boring, but its not as boring as I thought it would be. I once wrote a report on George Washington Carver. It was pretty boring because I didn't have much to research. By now, I've heard just about everything about him. Once I had to write a report on how I learned to read. That was hard because its been a long time since I learned how to read. I learned how to read when I was like, 3. Next week, we will be assigned to write a letter (its a paper, we're not really sending it) to a famous person. I like to write. If you told me to write whatever popped into my head, I could type for hours. That's why I have a blog. But, I can't really write for hours because I don't have time.
    Well, I gotta go.
Will post more soon. And I will probably post that poem we've been assigned.

    Where have I been???

You might be wondering why I said I would try to post every day and I haven't posted since Thursday. Here's whats up:

On Friday I went to visit my Grandma for a little bit. When I got home my Internet connection was down. My connection was down for a total of 3 days. Well I do think it was.
Yesterday, (Sunday) I went to church(9AM-10:30). At church, during worship, my friends and I went on stage to help sing the songs. After service my family and I went to Jose's, a mexican restaurant not too far from where I live. After lunch we went home and I ate ice cream. Facts have been proven, you are never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER too old for ice cream. Unless you don't like it or can't have it because it is bad for your health or something. After ice cream I decided to hang out with my friend Katy, who lives next door. Katy is one of my best friends. We live next door to each other, we go to the same school, we go to the same church, so I see her just about every day! After hanging out with Katy I went inside and sat at my computer and did some stuff on it. I forgot what I did next.

    Will post more soon!

2 DAY SCHOOL WEEK!!! and whatever!

We only have 2 days of school this week! Today was school. It was normal. I got to all my classes, almost on time. I was a little late for science but Mrs. Short didn't care. Tomorrow is our last day of school for this week. Jeez, you get out for 2 weeks, go back for 2 days, and are out for 2 more days.

It was snowing almost all day today and has finally stopped. Almost all snow is dried up and the sun is shining bright! But its not the warmest place on Earth yet. Hahaha!!! Today, my sweater wasn't in my closet so Bailey let me borrow hers. It doesn't fit perfectly but it is warm. I never go outside when Im at school. All my classes are inside, so why should I?

Today when I got home I ate popcorn and......typed in my blog!

    Will add more posts soon!
I'm trying to get one in at least every day.

    What happened today

This morning I got up, fed the animals, got dressed, did chores, played on the computer, and made lunch. Lets make a short story long and add some...whatever!

I woke up at 8:00 this morning and lay in bed until 8:30. I got up and went downstairs and fed my 2 dogs, Toby and Ryleigh, and my 2 cats, Spencer and Neno. After I fed them I went and played on the computer for about 15 minutes. Then our garage door guy came. I was in my pajamas and he was at the door. I went up stairs and got dressed and stuff.
The reason our garage door guy was here was because our garage door was not working right at all. We had to push it up and pull it down to get it opened and closed. We called the garage door company on New Years Eve and they said they couldn't get someone to fix the garage door until Wednesday, so we were sick of it by Tuesday and glad he would be here the next day.
Anyways, I got dressed and stuff and got back on the computer. I was (am still) in black sweat pants and a pink, long sleeved shirt, so I was(am still) very comfortable. I was on the computer for a while and when I got off I had chores to do. I cleaned the bathroom and folded the laundry and put away the dishes and all that boring stuff that I don't feel like typing about. When I put away the dishes I dropped some bowls and cups but luckily they were plastic. I also dropped a spatula trying to flip it in the air like a baton and catch it in my palm by its handle. I did it 7 times in a row without missing and then it hit the fridge and fell to the floor. After all my chores were done we lit a fire in the fireplace. We burned cardboard and wood and it felt really warm. I sat in front of the fire typing on the lap top with Ryleigh sitting beside me. At about 12:30 I went and cooked bagel bites for lunch. They took 21 minutes to cook!!!!! I ate a few bagel bites and cleaned up my mess. At about 2:00 my Dad left me to babysit my sister while he's gone for about 20 minutes. And my sister and I are in seperate rooms so all is good!
