    Hanging Out with Olivia

    Livi’s House
Around noon today, Olivia and I were chatting on Google Talk. She asked if I wanted to come over and I said yes. It was fine with Mom and Dad and fine with her Mom and Dad. My mom and Olivia’s mom talked with the background music of Zach’s trumpet when we got there. Olivia and I just hung out around the house waiting to go swimming. Eventually, the doorbell rang. It was Kyle, a friend of Olivia who lives nearby to her. Kyle hung out and we all talked and stuff. We were all kind of bored. Drake, Olivia’s 5 year old brother, kept following us because I am his “girlfriend”. I will tell you now I had absolutely no say in this. The first time I spent the night at Olivia’s, I became his “Sweetie Tweetie”. It was very odd. Like I said, we were all very bored. When Kyle started singing I’d had enough. I was glad that Mrs. Vicki called us so that we could go to the pool. Kyle went home and Olivia, Dane, Drake, and myself got in the car.

    The Pool

We went to a local public pool in Olivia’s community. Olivia and I went into the deepest end, of course. Sadly, it wasn’t that deep. It was only 5 feet so we could stand up perfectly. Although, it was somewhat convenient for handstands, front flips, back flips, et cetera. We experimented with jumping in and different ways we could do it. Smack!
Yep, that’s right. At one certain point, I saw Drake in the 5 foot area, bouncing up and down, gasping for breath. I swam over to get him to an edge. For a five year old, he is a good swimmer, so this surprised me. I called Olivia and she came to. He was bouncing up and down and when he finally fell under I arrived. I pulled him up and held him. He was crying or shaking with fear. I asked him if he was ok. He giggled. I had fallen into his trap. He now had me. He held onto me wanting me to swim with him. Dane, seven years old, was coming towards Drake. I told Drake to play with Dane so I went to Olivia. We discussed phobias and how weird some of them are. She was shocked that there is a fear of teenagers. So was I when I read it. We talked and talked and swam and swam. Eventually, it was time to leave. I had been with Olivia for 5 hours and they had gone by too quickly.

    Aunt Cindy Day!

    Her Arrival
Mom and Bailey were at Sonic, preparing to go see Grandma as I waited for Aunt Cindy. I let all of the dogs out except for Ryleigh, and I sat down and watched Frasier. About 20 minutes into the episode, the doorbell rang. I let Aunt Cindy in and Ryleigh greeted her. He ran around and around the couch in order to express his excitement. I let Aunt Cindy see my room, now decorated in the cool colors (blue, green, and purple.) She thought it was, well, cool! We then headed off.

    Breakfast

In her sparkly purple Nissan, she asked me if I had had breakfast or not. She laughed when I answered with pepperoni and crackers. We decided to go to Cracker Barrel. She had a big breakfast with biscuits and gravy, grits, bacon, and much more. Not being very hungry, I settled for an order of biscuits and gravy with a little bit of bacon. Our food came very quickly and we ate and talked. Aunt Cindy teaches at a private school in a different town. Because of this, I hardly ever see her. We ended up talking for 15 minutes after finishing our food. We just sat there and talked with our plates completely empty. After a while we headed off again.

    The Mall
We drove to the mall and wandered around. First was Payless Shoe Store. I watched her try on shoes and I complemented her. I didn't want any new shoes. Next we went to Claire's. We were looking for some orange earrings to match her new orange skirt. We looked around and didn't find anything. Then we went to Kirkland's and looked at the old-fashioned phones, which we really cool! We felt some of the fuzzy pillows and just walked around. We looked at the Chinese dresses and Chinese fans in Orient Sky. We later went to one of my favorite stores, Romancing the Stone. We looked at all of the marvelous lamps and hermit crabs. We also played with the rainsticks. Whenever you turn them upside down, all of the beads go down creating a rain-like sound. It sounded so cool! Because my birthday is tomorrow, Aunt Cindy let me pick out one thing in Romancing the Stone, and she'd buy it for me. I picked a little 6" tall lamp thingy. It's a little Chinese-like stand lamp. I chose a blue one with 6 swirls on each side. It is awesome! We played with the hermit crabs. I liked the big ones! We then left and got in the car to leave.

    Starbucks
They just built a Starbucks near the mall. Aunt Cindy and I decided to go. We drove over there and ordered our stuff. I ordered a Mocha Frappucino Espresso Brownie. Aunt Cindy also got a Mocha Frappucino. In order to pay she practically had to dig up the top of her purse, leaving her car keys on the counter. She paid the man and we sat down in some comfy orange chairs as we drank our frappucinos and I ate my brownie. We talked on and on as we drank. After about 10 minutes we got up and went to the car. We got in and sat down as Aunt Cindy rummaged through her purse. She kept digging and eventually told me she couldn't find her keys! We were in trouble! She sent me back into Starbucks to look. I looked around the chairs we sat in and the end table that Aunt Cindy had set her purse on. I started to wonder if maybe she had them in her pocket. I could see her through the window as she searched her purse inside and out. I remembered her paying the guy and setting the keys down. Had she put them back in her purse? No! I could see them! They hadn't been taken or lost. I grabbed them and ran out the door. We got in the car, now with the air conditioning on, and drove off. We talked the whole time and eventually arrived at my house. I thanked her for everything and she left. I went inside and greeted my dogs. Eventually, Mom and Bail came home and I began this post.

    The Fainting Goat Among Me

Many people have heard of the Tennessee Fainting Goats. If you haven’t, click here or here. Fainting goats are remarkable creatures. When they become excited or scared, all of they’re muscles stiffen up and they immediately fall over. They say that even the excitement related to meals can cause this. Or if a passerby honks their horn. It’s a fascinating occurrence and it’s absolutely hilarious. It doesn’t hurt them or effect them physically or mentally. It’s just funny to watch.
Ryleigh’s nickname is “Fainting Goat” because he does the same thing. He’s not the brightest crayon in the box, so when he gets scared or excited he falls over instead of running away. He looks just like a Tennessee Fainting Goat. It’s almost scary how much he looks like the goats based on his position. He falls over and becomes really stiff just like the fainting goats. I swear he gains ten pounds every time he “faints” because he becomes so tight!
Sometimes, at night if he doesn’t want to go outside before bed he falls over and tightens up and I have to carry him outside. If it takes a while, I tell Mom that he fainted.
