Setting Up the Christmas Tree, The Birkleigh in the Bed, and Birkleighs Bathtime.

    Setting Up the Christmas Tree
I woke up this morning, walked down stairs into the living room, and right before my eyes is a giant Christmas Tree with beads, lights, and ornaments, topped with an angel. Here's why:
Yesterday Mom worked for 6 hours. She works from home and takes calls for HSN. During most of this time period we brought up the 100-pound box of fake tree limbs, (Ok, not 100 lb.), we emptied the box and sorted each little tree-ish thing by letter. We spread out the little green things on the tree-branch-thing and put them into little holes on a stick wrapped in fake grass that was held into the ground. As we went up the stick, we wrapped lights around each little mat of tree branches. When we finished, we got a big box of ornaments and put them on the branches. I mostly did the ornaments I had made in the years before at school and church and stuff. At last, we crowned it with an angel. That's the Christmas tree, just wait until we decorate the whle house!

    The Birkleigh in the Bed
Yesterday morning I went into my mom's room to ask if the coffee was ready. I didn't see her so I started to turn away. As I did this, a big fluffball appears in the cornor of eye on the bed where Mom sleeps. I turned back to look directly at "it" and I saw that it was Birkleigh! He looked so funny, too! After I had seen him clearly, he laid down on Mom's pillow and put his body under the covers. He's a weird dog...

    Birkleigh's Bathtime
One day I'll be walking and my feet will fly above my head I will hit the ground painfully... That dog is so HYPER when he gets a bath. He's like the roadrunner that the coyote is always chasing! When Birkleigh is wet, he runs all through the house jumping on chairs and running into my feet (which makes me trip.). He had a bath last night and I couldn't even see him! All I saw was a blur with a toy.

    Thanksgiving Day

Today was ok... I don't really like Thanksgiving that much. It's no different than most days. I like most days, just not Thanksgiving. We ate crawfish and played on the computer. Nobody came over, we don't eat turkey (I liek crawfish!), and we don't do anything out of the ordinary. My Grandma's in Georgia so she couldn't come over. We had Thanksgiving to ourselves.
    I can't wait until tomorrow!
Feliz Navidad! The Christmas season begins!
And that means decorating the house and decking the halls with bows of holly! (not really, only decorating the house!) Well, see ya!
    Will post more soon!

Thanksgiving Break, A Cold, How the Dogs are Handling the Weather, and Hello!

    Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving is next week and I am so excited because we are out of school for 3 days. I love school, but I love no school, too! We're not doing anything "big" for Thanksgiving. We'll eat Cajun food and chocolate pie, watch football, and play on the computer. Nobody's coming over this year. Grandma will be in Georgia (with Uncle Rob, Aunt Nise, Ellie, and Annie) and Mr. Ken and Mrs. Shay have other plans. It will just be a regular day. And on Friday (drum roll, please) we plan to decorate the house for Christmas!!!

    A Cold
I think I have a cold. I have been sneezing and I'm all congested and I have been this way for a couple weeks. I have been putting on Vicks and sleeping by the humidifier and all that jazz. My colds usually don't last this long. I usually only have a cold for 3 days. I've been taking lots of medicine like sudafed, chlortabs, triaminic, ya-da-ya-da. I think I might be getting better.

How the Dogs Are Handling the Weather
Ryleigh almost shivered himself unconsious last night. He was under all of the covers and blankets on the bed and he was still freezing. Toby hasn't seemed to notice a change in temperature. Birkleigh is fascinated with the fireplace but he doesn't get cold that easily, he is a shih-tzuh.

    Hello!
Hello! Some quick little facts: Lisa's tae-kwon-doe team came in 2nd place. Lisa also made the honor roll. Katy got a camera for her birthday and she sent me some pictures. (Finally!) They came out good. Well, see ya later!
    Will post more soon!

Rain! Movies, Ry's Rawhide, Mom and Dad's Birthday, Bronchitis and a Cold, and Am I all of a Sudden Stupid?

    Rain!
    It's raining
    It's pouring
    I love it
    I'll soon be snoring
    No bumping heads
    just comfy beds
    I'll sleep well until morning

Like my song? I like the rain! We have had a really dry fall and summer and now it's raining! I love it! And we really needed it. Because of the rain, it might snow this winter! Yippee! Maybe even a white Christmas! Cool!

    Movies
A couple weeks ago I watched Wes Craven's "They". It was good but it had a kind of weird ending. But, when it's Wes Craven, what else it there to expect? For those of you who get scared easily, stay away from Wes Craven's "They"! On that same weekend I watched Stephen King's "Sometimes They Come Back". Again, if you scare easily, don't watch it. This weekend I took a step away from that horror and settled down with Grandma to watch one my favorite classics, "The Wizard of Oz", on TBS. That movie is great every once in a while and I'll always love it no matter how old I get. Yesterday I watched "Around the World in 80 Days" which was very well laid out and hilarious. I highly recommend it.

    Ry's Rawhide
Ryleigh got a new rawhide the other day and he's glued to it. The one time he let it out of his sight it ended up in Birkleigh's mouth. When I asked Ryleigh where his rawhide was, he went and looked at Toby, and then at Birkleigh, and couldn't seem to find out who took it. He got it back eventually and here he is now laying beside me.

    Mom and Dad's Birthday
Mom's birthday is tomorrow and Dad's is the 17th. We already gave them their presents, so I can tell you without any *s. We got mom some beauty products like lotion and all that. And we got Dad a little flippy remote controlled car.

    Bronchitis and a Cold
No, I don't have bronchitis. Haha!
I have a cold, I think. My sinuses have been bothering me and I blow my nose about 1000 times a day. This all started on Saturday. I have a humidifier in my room, I put on Vicks at night, and I have been taking medicine. Not prescription or anything, just the regular drugs like claritan and chlortabs. The bronchitis is Amanda's thing. Amanda thinks she may be getting bronchitis but she's been going to school because she doesn't have a fever....yet. She has a sore raspy throat and has been coughing and all that. I hope she gets better.

Am I Stupid All of a Sudden?
I just thought this was weird:
Paxton: Were you proficient in Math and Language?
    Me: No, I was advanced.
    Paxton: In both?
    Me: Yeah...
Paxton: You were advanced in math?!
    Me:Yes.
    Paxton: and Literacy?!
    Me: Yes
    Paxton: Oh.
About a week or 2 later..
Paxton: Your advanced in Literacy and Math, right?
    Me: Yeah.
Paxton: (talking to her friends) Hey guys, she was advanced in both, too.
    Andrew: You were?
    Me: Yeah.
    Andrew: Really?
    Me: Yeah.

Ok, does everyone think I'm stupid all of sudden?

    Lists

What is strange (but cute!) about Ryleigh:
  • He shakes alot.
  • Every time Dad takes off his belt, Ryleigh runs, even he's never touched it.
  • He growls at pillows if they're on the floor.
  • He does not allow running in the house.
  • Pom-poms under the bed are not acceptable.
  • No going to be before 8:30, or he gets lonely.
  • He doesn't like for you to read a book without his permission and assistance.
  • He prefers you warn him before going near a trash bag.
  • If Birkleigh gets his picture taken, Ryleigh poses.
  • He stares at the TV and listens as if he understands it. (Most dogs do understand, but Ryleigh's not that smart)
  • He's "special".

  • What Gets My Attention:

  • Getting hit in the head with a ball.
  • Getting tripped.
  • Somebody yelling my name in my ear (after countless yells from across the room).
  • Whistles.
  • Fire alarms.
  • Ryleigh. (most of the time)
  • A big, loud noise. Usually a banging or knocking sound.
  • My little e-mail thing that pops up. (notifier)
  • Loud blasts of music.

  • Note: Snapping does not work on me.

Report Results, The Disappearing Mouth Blisters, AQ, and Waiting for Holidays

    Report Results
My Anthony Horowitz poster turned out great!!! I got an A+ on it and Mrs. Rogerson hung it out in the hall for everyone to see. I saw some other posters that gave me good ideas for my next report. Which I don't know when she'll assign another report. If I had to have done a different author it would have been Eoin (pronounced owen) Colfer or Lois Lowry. But some other people did those. I don't like doing the same things as other people. I'm glad no one else did Anthony Horowitz.

    The Disappearing Mouth Blisters
My mouth blisters have amazingly disappeared!!! That means...(drum roll)... I can eat painlessly now!!! I used Listerine and Peroxide and this mouth-numbing stuff and POOF it's gone!!!

    AQ
We ate at AQ yesterday. I had a baked potato and some soup. And for lunch today I had a baked potato and for dinner tonight...Baked Potato!!! You can tell I like potatoes. Aq was good. We went after church and waited in the car until it opened. Our service gets out at 10:30 and we don't go to Late Hour so we usually have to wait. It took about 15-20 minutes to get there and we waited for 10-15 minutes in the car.

    Waiting For Holidays
I haven't celebrated a holiday in so long! 2005 has zipped by and now Thansgiving and Christmas are on their way! I can't remember the last holiday I celebrated. No, I don't celebrate Halloween. Thansgiving is so fun! We always have turkey and we sit around for 3 days doing nothing. This weekend my parents are going to Branson for Christmas shopping. I can't wait. I've already bought Keaton's present. I got him a **** called *** **** **** *****. Oops! You'll have to wait and see! I'll reveal everything on Christmas! I know, 53 day to wait.
